Programs
The Vision Leader’s Project supports disadvantaged youth in Liberia by providing educational assistance, mentorship, leadership development, character formation, and community-based support. Our programs are designed to help young people overcome barriers, stay in school, build discipline, discover their purpose, and grow into responsible future leaders.
Education
Support
Education is one of the strongest tools for breaking the cycle of poverty and opening doors to opportunity. Through our education support program, VLP helps disadvantaged students with school-related needs that may prevent them from attending or remaining in school.
This support may include:
Tuition assistance, Registration fees, Uniforms, School bags, Shoes, Books, Copybooks, Pens, pencils, and basic learning supplies
Our goal is to reduce the financial burden on families and help students remain focused on learning, growth, and their future.
Mentorship and Character Formation
Young people need more than school fees and supplies. They also need guidance, encouragement, structure, and positive role models. VLP provides mentorship and character formation to help youth build confidence, discipline, responsibility, respect, and integrity.
Through mentorship, we encourage students to make wise decisions, stay focused on their education, respect their families and communities, and understand that their lives have purpose and value.
Leadership Development
The Vision Leader’s Project believes that Liberia’s future depends on the development of strong, ethical, and purpose driven young leaders. Our leadership development program helps youth discover their gifts, understand responsibility, build confidence, and prepare to serve others.
We want students to see themselves not only as children receiving help, but as future leaders who can one day contribute to their families, communities, and nation.
Family and Community Support
A child’s success is stronger when families, schools, community leaders, and partners work together. VLP seeks to build strong relationships with parents, guardians, educators, churches, local leaders, and community members to create a supportive environment around each child.
This work includes communication with families, student follow-up, school engagement, community outreach, and collaboration with trusted local leaders.
Future VLP Learning and Leadership Center
As VLP grows, our long term goal is to develop a learning and leadership center in Liberia, with the long-term goal of expanding to additional communities as capacity grows where young people can receive academic support, mentorship, computer learning, leadership training, character development, and community-based programs.
This future center will serve as a safe and structured place where students can learn, grow, receive guidance, and prepare for greater opportunities.
VLP’s programs are not only about meeting immediate needs. They are about building long-term foundations in the lives of young people. Every student supported, every family encouraged, and every child mentored brings us closer to a stronger future for Liberia.
